this is one of the toughest ares to break into.
Some TV commercial directors start off by being cameramen; others by being art directors. Some have made the transition from MTV, news, ad agencies, and Hollywood. Others went the college route, picking up graduate degrees in film-making.and cinematography. The Art Institute of Dallas offers a program in this. The Art Institute of Dallas is part of a nationwide chain of for-profit schools offering college degrees.
