I need to write a biography for class but I'm lacking on primary sources for the person I want to do.

I would think no. The notes or papers he used as sources would be. Contemporary journal entries of the child would be, but not a biography, except perhaps events very near to the writing of the biography..
An autobiography. News clippings discussing events. A paper or letter or book written by the person would be.
